Early Learning

The Kindergarten Program

The CISE Kindergarten program follows the Ontario Kindergarten Curriculum and is based on sound principles of early childhood education with a strong focus on character development.  All Kindergarten students receive trilingual instruction in English, French and Arabic languages.

At CISE your child will have a team of caring educators with a teacher and an early childhood educator in every classroom.  This team approach will help your child develop a strong foundation for future learning in literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, the arts, health, and physical education.

Our Kindergarten classrooms are designed to promote a rich learning environment where intellectual stimulation, physical development, social/emotional development and self-discipline is nurtured through play-based learning.  The Kindergarten program includes active times both inside and outside, quiet times listening to music and enjoying stories and books, and plenty of opportunities to play. Children will explore, experiment and problem solve. They will use natural materials, to dramatize, paint, draw, design, sing, dance and laugh. Teachers will provide short blocks of direct instruction that are required for some essential skills.

Our classroom play-based learning centres have been thoughtfully designed to encourage students to explore and solve problems in groups or on their own. Students will be invited to use a variety of material to discover, investigate how things work, share ideas, develop theories and test them out.

English and French Immersion

Parents/guardians can enroll their children in the Kindergarten English Program or the Kindergarten French Immersion Program.

The French Immersion Kindergarten Program

Canadian International School of Egypt is excited to offer a two-year trilingual Kindergarten program where students receive their instruction in English, French and Arabic.

In the Kindergarten French Immersion Program, the teachers speak French all of the time and class activities are conducted in French although specialist subjects (like Art and Music) may be taught in English. Students are immersed in a supportive French milieu and are encouraged to respond in French as much as possible.

The English Language Kindergarten Program

Students enrolled in the Kindergarten English Language Program receive instruction in the English language in all subject areas as well as instruction in French through Core French (40 minutes daily) and Arabic (50 minutes daily).

The Kindergarten Facilities

The CISE Kindergarten program allows entry for 4-year old learners into an active K-12 community and to benefit from connections to older learners, incredible facilities, and extracurriculars.
