Director’s 2024-2025 Welcome Message

Welcome back to CISE! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing summer with family and friends. We are excited to have our students back into the school next week. The first day of school is September 27, 2023.

Our whole faculty is now back at school preparing for the students arrival next Sunday. Our teams will be in professional development sessions all week as there have been some Ontario Curriculum changes.

I will be sending you several information letters this week so our community has a clear understanding of the expectations of the school. One of the key indicators of success of a student is the parent/school relationship. We will continue to provide you with clear communication so everyone has access to all relevant information.

I wanted to share a few items that you need to be aware of prior to the start of the school.

1. School Hours – All students should be on the field for opening exercises at 8:00 am. The school day ends at 2:40 pm this year. Please be on time to pick-up your child.

2. School Uniforms – All students are expected to be in uniform, this applies to students from Kindergarten through to Grade 12. If any student attempts to enter the school without a uniform, we will be turning them away. They will be welcome back when they have a uniform. Our uniform shop will open Monday September 11th.

3. Supply Lists – We will be sending out a link for supplies for each grade on Sunday. If teachers require something else throughout the year, they will inform you.

4. Parent/Student Handbook – please make sure you take the time to review and understand the handbook that is attached to this email.

As I had mentioned previously, I will be sending you more information throughout this week. I am excited for the start of the school year and look forward to working with you all.
